The world’s largest indoor boat show – boot Düsseldorf, better known as simply ‘Boot’ – begins tomorrow (January 21) and the number of electric boats exhibitors at the 2023 edition is by far the largest number ever – almost 75 booths that will be dedicated to, or at least featuring, an electric boat or electric boat motor.
The last in-person Boot was in January 2020, just before the events that upended the world, so the 2021 and 2021 versions were held virtually. It is safe to say that the big show is back with a vengeance and is expecting upwards of a quarter of a million people to visit.

The first electric boat from Groupe Beneteau’s Four Winns brand, the H2e, will be at Boot, showing off the Visions Marine Technologies E-Motion 180E outboard package. Known for manufacturing sophisticated and elegant bowriders and deck boats, this is an exciting combination of boat and motor. The E-Motion 180E integrates a complete optimized powertrain system with battery pack, controller, chargers and everything needed to replace a fossil fuel outboard and keep the performance – while getting rid of the noise and exhaust fumes.
