Four Winns Enters Electric Boat Market with H2e Bowrider

Boat Blurb - December, 6, 2022 - News

Another major manufacturer has made the foray into electric boating. Today reputable Michigan manufacturer Four Winns announced the arrival their first all-electric model- the H2e bowrider.

The 20-foot platform will be in partnership with Canada’s Vision Marine Technologies to provide propulsion via their 180e rotary electric outboard motor. Four Winns is part of the larger Groupe Beneteau conglomerate, which also includes notable brands like Beneteau Yachts, Prestige Yachts, Jeanneau, Wellcraft, Scarab, and Glastron.

Vision has been growing and excelling at a rapid pace in recent months, having both launched the world’s first 100% recyclable boat and set the world boating speed record for electric power.

According to Four Winns, the H2e was borne out of contemporary customer desires- the need for ease of use, lower running costs, and quiet operation. The company calls the H2e a “fully sustainable cruising experience” that will no doubt draw the attention of many manufacturers who currently build gas-powered dayboats and bowriders.

The motor consists of two (2) high voltage, high density, 700v battery packs, complete with a fully integrated powerful onboard charger that can be plugged into any dock shore power system, for quick recharging wherever you go cruising.
